We Have a Winner!: DARPA Grand Challenge

The U.S. Defense Dept's $2 million prize was awarded to Stanford University for their autonomous land vehicle "Stanley". They beat the second place finisher by 11 minutes. So close CMU Red Team! I was pulling for you. Four vehicles finished the 132 mile course for the first time ever. Carnegie-Mellon University had 2 finishers.

Now, when can we have this technology in our cars so we can all catch some zzzz's while commuting?
